“Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.” Proverbs 20:4 NLT

Laziness and procrastination are a dangerous combination. Actions or lack thereof, have consequences. Everyone is the beneficiary of a timely and carefully planted harvest.

There is an old proverb that says that the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time to plant a tree is today.

A couple of years ago my thought for the year was “Begin with the end in mind”.  We all have those things that we want to see fulfilled, but many times we only consider our immediate comfort not our eventual satisfaction.

Is there something that you  need to begin that will contribute to the things that you want to achieve? Maybe it is in education, a relationship, finances, or fitness.  They all have seasons for planting. If we miss those seasons, the harvest will be bare.

This week, be honest with yourself and  think about what you need to plant today to bear a harvest in due time.

In His Hands,
