“An inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end.” Proverbs 20:21 NLT

I once heard a pastor say that “If I got whatever I wanted, I would ruin my life because I don’t really know what is good for me.”  We may know what we want, but God knows what we need… and when. His timing is seldom early, but He is never late. Getting a birthday gift early may be fun and acceptable, but gaining an inheritance, position, or relationship out of time may be more harmful than good.

God knows the perfect timing of things and is masterful at building the character in us that will be necessary for the blessing or assignment that He has for us. We need to trust the Lord with our future and in the meantime we should; wait, worship and watch.

Wait – We wait on the Lord and allow Him to work in the midst of the circumstances

“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 ESV

Worship – We worship Him to put and keep things in perspective

“Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker” Psalms 95:6 NLT

Watch – We keep our eyes and hearts open and watch for what God about to do.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NLT

Wait, worship, and watch and trust the Lord for His perfect timing and blessings in Your life.

In His Hands,

John
