“A loud and cheerful greeting early in the morning will be taken as a curse!” Proverbs‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It was Mark Twain who said that “humor is tragedy plus time.” A joke out of place is not funny and can sometimes even be cruel. There is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes tells us.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.  A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭ 3:1‭-‬4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

While it is fun to celebrate, to start the pots and pans marching band early in the morning is not going to be well received.  Many people appreciate being complimented—yet few want to lose sleep to hear it!

This week be sensitive to the atmosphere around you, especially early in the morning.

In His Hands,
