“People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they’re deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. While their hatred may be concealed by trickery, their wrongdoing will be exposed in public.” Proverbs 26:24-26 NLT
A very timely scripture. It could very easily be written as a commentary for what is going on in Israel right now.
I was speaking to a friend who was there when the war began. It was not a sudden intiative, but rather one that has been planned and calculated for at least two years.
During this time their “hatred was covered with pleasant word” as they calculated their deceipt.
We can take comfort in the promise that “their wrongdoing will be exposed”.
This week, pray for truth to be revealed and for the peace of Jerusalem.
