“The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.”  Proverbs 20:29 NLT

Glory and splendor from the fuels of strength and experience. This week’s verse is more about celebration than correction, more about engagement than preparation and more about embracing than changing.

I want to encourage you that this week’s verse is not necessarily restricted to two seasons of life, but rather it is about celebrating, engaging and embracing the seasons of life that we are in. Life is lived in seasons, but the only season we are able to act is today. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, today is where we live. And whether you are have the strength that comes with youth or the experience that comes with gray hair, the current season you are in is by God’s grace and God’s design.

Too often we live in regrets of yesterday or worry about tomorrow. But today is the day we are given.

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 NLT

Whether you are in the season of strength, the season of wisdom or a season in between, use your seasonal resources well.

This week celebrate, engage and embrace this season you are in.

In His Hands,

John
