“Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful.” Proverbs 16:20 NLT

Prosperous and joy filled living. Sounds like a best selling book! It sounds like a book that would greet you in the front of your local bookstore, be on the bestsellers list, and be the subject of conversations in homes and on talk shows. Prosperity and joy, something most people would want and be drawn to.

If there was such a book, many would pick it up and make their way through the two or three hundred pages that it might contain in the hopes of arriving at the last chapter and realize a change in their lives that has them arrive at the subject of the title. Prosperous and joy filled living. The problem is that prosperity and joy filled living will not magically come from reading the latest best selling book.  It does not come from from following the newest trends but nor does it need a few hundred pages describe. An ancient book describes what is necessary for a prosperous and joy filled life in just a few words.

The pathway to prosperity and a joy filled living is simple.  Listen and trust. Listen to the instructions found in the Word of God and trust in the Lord. 

Simple instructions. Maybe not easy, but simple. 

This week listen to instructions and prosper, trust the Lord and be joyful.
