“Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.” Pro 28:26 NLT

Recently when making some plans for the future, there were elements that I wasn’t quite sure how they were going to work out.  In fact, I still don’t.  I recall speaking with a friend and commented, “that there is at least some possibility that I don’t have all of the information I need at this point.  God probably has details that I just don’t know yet.”  Most of you would agree that we just don’t know it all.

I was reading that in the last 24 hours it is estimated that 328.77 million terabytes of data were created.  A recent Forbes article observed that 90% of all of the data in the world was created in the last 2 years!  Amazing, data is being produced so rapidly, no wonder there are some missing pieces for us.

To think that we know it all is foolish.  This week’s proverb makes the statement that: “Those who trust their own insight are foolish.”

The good news is that in the midst of what I will call a “data storm”, the Lord sees, the Lord knows, and the Lord cares.  We may not be able to keep up with the data production, but data production cannot come close to knowing what the Lord knows!

The key for us is to walk in the Lord’s wisdom, to trust Him and stay close to Him.

This week, seek the Lord for the decisions that may be before you.

In His Hands,

John
