“The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.” Proverbs 28:1 NLT
While I have never experienced personally, I have friends who have had the privilege of an “All Access Pass”. The pass allows you to go anywhere unrestricted at a concert or an event. It allows you to have the confidence of belonging without the fear of being in the wrong place and experience consequences.
Those that “sneak in” don’t have that same confidence. They live in fear of being found out or being discovered and then suffering the consequences.
Walking someplace you belong allows you to be bold, walking where you don’t belong leaves you with a constant stress and tension and may even cause you to run when no one is chasing you.
At a fundamental level the godly experience peace as they walk, the wicked experience anxiety.
